Mark Sherman

Mark Sherman has enjoyed TED Talks since his father introduced them to him about fifteen years ago. Since that time, he has spent many hours lost on TED.com. He has been spending the last twenty plus years working to convince students that the best path to knowledge is through asking good, difficult questions. When he is not at Dakota Ridge High School, he enjoys walks, golf, reading, good food, trying to write a beautiful sentence, and fresh, baked chocolate chip cookies. He is excited to be a part of a stunning group of people to bring TEDx to the Dakota Ridge community.

Holly Davis

Holly Davis is the International Baccalaureate Coordinator at Dakota Ridge High School. Prior to becoming the IB Coordinator, she was a middle school and high school English teacher for nearly 20 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Education. Holly lives in Highlands Ranch with her two crazy boxers, and her husband and two boys, Caden (13) and Kyan (10), who all eat, sleep, and breathe baseball. Although she loves every second she spends at the ballfields, she is beyond excited to be escaping them for one Saturday to be organizing and hosting TEDxDakotaRidge.

Zoe Plechaty

Zoe Plechaty is a senior IB student at Dakota Ridge. Watching TED talks has been a favorite pastime for hers throughout her educational experience. Zoe believes in the power of TED talks to expose oneself to diverse opinions, life experiences, and new, revolutionary knowledge. Zoe is elated to bring the opportunity to share and engage with the ideas of the community to Dakota Ridge High School. Outside of school, Zoe runs cross country and track, reads books to add to her book stacks, and hikes and backpacks the mountains of Colorado. She will be attending St. Olaf College in the fall to run cross country and study!
